Who knows what his story is. I’m sure he could tell some tales. I’m sure if you got to know him you’d be surprised how much he’s like you. I’m sure he had the same big dreams all kids have about what they are going to do with their life. I mean, no one grows up wanting to be homeless, right?

You know those moments where you can see God, where you know he put that person or situation there for a reason. That is what that moment was. And I failed. I drove past him pulling out of Walgreens, happy about life, with my windows down and radio on, talking to my little girl. I failed. I used excuses like it would be a pain to turn around, he may not be there still but in reality, I was too wrapped up in my need for the $15 in my pocket than living intentionally.

It’s not about doing some grand thing to change the world on some grand scale, its about living life with a purpose and intentionally. It’s about being aware daily that you are part of a bigger plan and acting accordingly. It’s about being able to give away your $15. It’s about being thankful as you walk into your house that you have one, not complaining about the next project that needs done. It’s about living intentionally.
