casey and courtney: married (knoxville wedding photographer)

Saturday, May 30th, 2009

Casey and Courtney had one of the most uniquely beautiful weddings I have seen. It took place just outside of Knoxville, in Historic Rugby, in a church built in 1887, still intact with all its original details. Such a beautiful place to have a wedding close to Knoxville and an even more beautiful place for a happy wedding photographer:) Rugby is a place where you get lost in time and forget about the hustle and bustle of real life in Knoxville and just enjoy the details. The wedding reception was at a bed and breakfast, outside under a tent, with the backdrop of trees and fields with horses in them. And the wedding ceremony and reception details…oh the details! I could go on and on of the awesome details (but instead, I will just show you the pictures of them!) Note to know when you are looking at the pictures: Casey graduated the week before the wedding (yay!) and is a pharmacist.

I’m usually pretty nervous/excited on a wedding day because there is alot to capture, do, make sure you don’t miss anything, etc… but for some reason I didn’t have that here…just excitement about the day for Casey and Courtney and to capture some awesome pictures. Perhaps it was the fact that they chose to see each other before the wedding (LOVE it!), or the great organization of the day (Courtney, it was more organized than you think:) ), or just the simplistic beauty of our surroundings and the great people…but something about the day was truly magical.

A huge congrats to Casey and Courtney! Enjoy your wedding photographs! (sorry about the length…I was indecisive!)

knoxville wedding photographer

Saturday, April 25th, 2009

So one of my favorite things about being a knoxville wedding photographer is the ability to connect with other photographers and get inspiration. Last weekend I had the privilege to not only photograph with knoxville wedding photographers, but also some girls from all over the US and Canada!! (I’ll save my love for Canada post for some other time…love them!) Here are a few photographs from last weekend that I have been meaning to post. This is from the model day where a bunch of us knoxville wedding photographers were shooting a bride and groom and some other models. Cade’s Cove, right outside of Knoxville, is a beautiful place to get married!

coming up…. (Knoxville wedding photographer)

Monday, February 16th, 2009

This is from a wedding reception that I was the photographer at, held in Gatlinburg, right outside of Knoxville. The wedding took place at a chapel outside of Knoxville and then the couple had a giant cabin in Gatlinburg where the reception was held. This was a destination wedding so that cabin was a great idea and gave the wedding party a place to stay too while they were down in Knoxville. What a fun wedding to photograph and I was so happy that John and Shelia invited me to be their wedding photographer.

Perhaps one of my fave images of all time….more to come from this rocking reception!

It was beautiful and a dream for a wedding photographer! Here are a couple from the wedding…enjoy the sneak peek:)

sneak peek (Knoxville wedding photographer)

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

Brandon and Gigi had a wedding outside of Knoxville in Gatlinburg. Their wedding was a beautiful destination wedding complete with Waylon the dog! As a photographer one of the greatest tips for your Knoxville wedding would be to incorporate things you love…even if it is your dog:)

yes, I’m on a roll with the blogging:) Its been a crazy fun month! They were married in Gatlinburg, outside of Knoxville, last Saturday. It was a picturesque day for them with some great fall leaves! Enjoy your sneak peek!

This was one of the last pictures of the night and I just love it. This is straight out of the camera…loving the lighting!

This was the hotel where the reception was held…amazing architecture!

more couple shots:) I was loving the stone on the exterior of the church!

The ceremony was Catholic and with hints of Filipino tradition in it. I love weddings with tradition in them…makes them so much more meaningful I think!

perhaps my fave of them all. Why do I love the pictures that are so random, not straight, weird angles. They just call to me. I love them!

and without further ado….I present Waylon! A special request to be included in the sneak peek. Waylon, like our chocolate lab Mocha, was rescued from a shelter and it super cute! He is definitely less hyper than Mocha which helped in getting some pictures:)

They officially have now seen it, so now I can share:) Here is a look at their album… (I added the watermark for the web..its not really printed on the album…just an fyi!)

sneak peek

Saturday, June 28th, 2008

We celebrated Laura and Brandon’s upcoming wedding by taking some photographs in Knoxville. As a photographer, I love to capture such an exciting time in a couple’s relationship. What a great way to get ready for your wedding and celebrate your engagement than with photographs. So, here is one that I have to post for Laura…definitely a fave of mine as I glanced through them tonight…that I had to post. More sneak peek to come in the next few days:) The session got a little cut short because of the rain in Knoxville but we made it all work and got some awesome photographs:)

Sneak peek for Blake and Ashlee

Wednesday, June 11th, 2008

Combing through the tons of pictures from Blake and Ashlee’s wedding..here are some of my faves! We traveled far from Knoxville as their photographers for their wedding but It was such a fun wedding weekend in good ol’ Savannah, TN….what a pretty part of Tennessee that I have never been to (although I do still love me some Knoxville!) We were near a state park and took Beans to swim in the lake:) I’ll post pics of that soon! So, while I’m getting the whole wedding slideshow together…here are some awesome wedding photography to wet your whistle!

The bride…we are having a trash the dress session here in a few weeks so more to come but we did take a few the day of…love this one!

The couple decided to see each other before the ceremony so we staged the first glance of the bride to create a nice private moment for the two…here is Blake’s first glance…the expression is great!

The flower girl and her basket of petals:)

The ring bearer..cutest kid ever:) He enjoyed his involvement in the wedding…so cute! Both of them did so good during the ceremony!

The bridesmaids dresses made for great pictures….such a great color!

Ahhh..the ring shot…this may be my fave pic of the whole lot!
