rhett & anna

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

I met Rhett and Anna in Knoxville at the Knoxville Gardens for a surprise photography session. It’s their anniversary of when they first started dating and Rhett surprised Anna with a photography session. How cool is that!?

It was an absolutely beautiful weekend in Knoxville and even though the Knoxville Gardens were a little barren from winter, they were still so beautiful! Love the stonework…what an awesome place to have a wedding too!

They were such a fun couple and truly in love! I’m loving the pictures! It helped that Rhett was a ham…you’ll see what I mean:)

isn’t Anna beautiful! Not too bad for someone who knew only 30 minutes beforehand that she was going to have her pictures done:)

see, ham:)

thanks for being awesome Rhett and Anna! Enjoy!

sara + roy | knoxville engagement photographer

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

Engagement photos, another one of my favorite kind of sessions and photography! It gives you a way to get to know the couple more and you just get fun photos! Sara and Roy were no different, awesome engaged couple with some awesome pictures to boot! We met in downtown Knoxville to get some great fall light and capture their love. Sara and Roy were great! They were so naturally in love and really were great with being themselves in front of the camera!

Another reason I love engagement pictures? Its lets you capture you being you as a couple. before the wedding dress, before the craziness of being newlyweds, before kids. It’s the one time you can get pictures that capture your love, all funky and fresh like:) My favorite picture of Brad and I came from our engagement session. Its a giant picture on our mantle and I’m so glad we did an engagement session just for that picture!

ok…who is ready for some pictures! Sara and Roy, thanks for being awesome and enjoy the pictures!

sneak peek (Knoxville couple photographer)

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

a sneak peek for Clifton and Lesli, a awesome couple and some good friends:) Probably one of the easiest photographer shoots ever in the direction part as we took over downtown Knoxville. What I have on the site “real life is art” isn’t just a slogan, its my true belief and the very reason I love photography. So I lovelovelove it when people and couples can be just themselves and forget that I, the knoxville photographer, am there…makes for great memories! So, none of their expressions were posed or asked for. We literally took a walk around the Old City in Knoxville and I clicked away while they were just them. love it! There are so many that I love but here are a few…Enjoy the pics!

ps…yes, Lesli’s shoes are amazing and I’m pretty sure my sister will have a little drool when she sees them!

sneak peek (Knoxville couple photographer)

Thursday, December 25th, 2008

Rachael and John braved the COLD last week to take some engagement pictures in Knoxville! I mean, it was frigid! These photographer’s hands were cold! They are both huge UT fans so we made our way to the Knoxville campus to take some pictures. They were great sports with the cold and we managed to have a good time! Here are a few of my fave photographs!

John got into the different looks…no cheese smile in every picture for him!

we found a great patch of sun and got some good ones in before it set…

and yes, Rachael may hate me for putting this one on the sneak peek. And yes, there were other awesome ones we took in front of this wall…but I couldn’t help myself. I love the pureness of it, just great happiness:)

sneak peek (Knoxville photographer)

Thursday, November 20th, 2008

The anxiously awaited sneak peek from our session in Knoxville with Brad and Des! These photographs were taken in one of my favorite spots in Knoxville. Love the colors and such! It’s funny how being a photographer changes the way you look at things. Driving down the road you are like, oh, that would be a good place for a session:) Here in Knoxville you definitely have to be on the look out for good new places to have a photography session at.

Tuesday, May 6th, 2008

Here is the first of a few picture previews from the mini photography sessions that I held in downtown knoxville….probably the only one I get to tonight because the beans is in a mood with the top teeth to blame:) I had off today so it was me and the Beans all day…we went to the park and played in the creek at Fountain City park here in Knoxville…she loved it!! We are slow but sure finishing up the front lawn…today we finished pulling up all the grass for the new beds. I’ll take pics as we get done with stuff:) So, here are some of my fave from the knoxville photography shoot with Brad and Deserie. I really loved them all but I made myself pick a few pictures to share:) Thanks again to Brad and Deserie…had a great time and hope you love them!
