featured: The Pink Book

I was the type of bride that spent hours combing through unique ideas for my wedding. I wanted special little touches that portrayed us. But like most brides planning their weddings, I was on a budget. So I crafted and had fun with DIY projects and made our wedding us.

So I absolutely LOVE it when a wedding for one of my brides now gets asked to be featured in a blog or article. I love it because I know my brides spent hours doing the same thing I did, pouring over wedding magazines, looking at photography, picking out their fun touches that show their style and personality. So to be featured and have the world see your beautiful wedding and labor of love is so much fun!

Today the Pink Book featured Rafaella and Brian’s wedding in a beautiful way, showing all her fun touches and details. Love it! Head on over there and leave Rafaella and Brian some love on their beautiful wedding:)

A fab local wedding blog featuring photography and more that we have here in Knoxville and East Tennessee is Wedding Daily Times. They’re on a mission to bring hip and awesome wedding goodness to our area and I love it! Plus, they’re pretty awesome girls too:)

Today I am honored to be their feature with the bridal wedding images I did back in April from a local photographers shootout that the studio did.

freedom fest pictures! (knoxville event photographer)

Sunday, September 20th, 2009

It’s a rainy Sunday afternoon, the kiddo is asleep, and the hubby is doing some project. So, I though I would put the first of the Freedom Fest Event pictures up! Just a few pictures of the day…from yoga, music, face painting…there was all sorts of fun things for everyone to do that day. There were some amazing vendors that were part of Freedom Fest and they will get their own posts over the next week or so:)

weddingplanningsites

Something a little different this week. It’s for the brides! Or for those of us helping to plan a wedding, know a bride, or a wedding photographer…so it can be helpful for us all! Yay! We’re focusing on some wedding planning sites this week! I just love these sites and I’ll give you a hint…. they are GREAT inspiration if you are planning any kind of party and need ideas! So here are a few of my faves…

1. The Knot. Of course, the mamajama of them all! I used this site to help me plan my wedding and now am a proud Featured Vendor! This site has it all and has a great list of local vendors that you can use!

2. 100 Layer Cake: A recent addition to my bookmarks for blogs I read. This is more of a blog than an actual site but I just love the uniqueness. For the bride looking for unique ideas/inspiration.

3. WedPlan: A bit like the Knot…lots of fun info and vendors along with some great ideas.

4. Wedding Wire: Another one I’ve loved since my wedding. Know why? Because you can go and give reviews for you vendors and get gift certificates!! And its on the up and up…I did it and got a sweet canvas from Canvas On Demand.

5. And last but not least..my fave! Project Wedding! I knew I was a fan when I photographed this wedding and was blown away by all the awesome details of the day…done by the bride herself! She was a Project Wedding fan and I was hooked! Love me some wedding with awesome DIY projects that just make the wedding completely unique! This is the site I go to if I need party ideas!
