through shootouts and meetups. through friendship and support.

and I’m so excited about where its going. and I’m honored.

honored to be part of it.

I’m finally sitting in my jammies watching Kimora:Life in the fab lane (don’t hate:) ) and thinking about today the only word that comes to mind is honor.  I am honored to be part of an industry where we can do fun shootouts and support each other in this journey, I am honored to have met all of you today and see some of the raw amazing talen we have here in Knoxville, and I’m honored to be part of it all, even in the tiniest way.  Thank you for being awesome, thank you for making today wonderful, thank you for being all in and so supportive of everyone today.

introducing the pink label | boudoir

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

I never set out to be a boudoir photographer.

It just kind of found me.

The greatest compliment I ever received was a client, who was beautiful both inside and out, looking at her album and exclaiming “I can’t believe this is me!”

That sums up why I do boudoir photography.

It makes amazing women realize they are beautiful, both inside and out.

baby bella is on the way!

Monday, March 29th, 2010

It’s not often I do maternity sessions, not sure why because I had such a blast doing these photos, but I made an exception for the awesome Lindsey and made my way just north of Knoxville on an absolutely beautiful day! Maternity photos could grow on me… we had a super fun time complete with the picture perfect baby room, a fun belly, and even a couple pups thrown in the mix! And I think we got some awesome photos too:)

yummy sun! It was an absolutely beautiful day here in Knoxville

Haleigh and Logan are high school sweethearts. I love that they decided to get some professional photography done of them…what a great way to document their love and journey together! We met in Knoxville for some fun photography and captured some unique and funky photos! Plus we had a ton of fun!

We had our session at the Knoxville Arboretum. This is a gorgeous place for photographers in Knoxville!

the things to remember

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

I love doing my Knoxville sessions, whether it be family, children, or even couples, at a location that means something. I chatted a little about that here. It just makes the photography so meaningful.

This family were winners of a giveaway at Cutie Tooties here in Knoxville, TN! So the other day I made my way out to west Knoxville to photograph a beautiful family. I went to their house, where we got to have a fun session with things that mean something to them. My fave from the photography session is one that just brings you back to a place in time. I love pictures that do that, that remind you of your children’s favorite toy, reminds you of how they used to smell, reminds you of that time and place. Love those kind of pictures.

During our session we had children’s story time with her favorite book.

Want some fun pictures of your family just being themselves? I’ll tag along with you and get some great memories:) contact me here.

lisa | the author

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

Lisa is a writer from just outside of Knoxville with a new book coming out in May.  We met back at the end of 2009 here in Knoxville to get some photographs for her book and website.  Every author needs some great headshots and photographs, don’t you think? Lisa is an amazing person and I can’t wait to see her journey as a successful author!

nerd glasses and a scarf:)

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

So when A’lana contacted me for a Knoxville senior portrait session I was pretty excited because I love senior sessions. Then when she emailed me about her ideas for outfits and that she wanted to include her nerd glasses and scarf I fell in love with her and knew we could be besties:) Then I met her and it was confirmed. She even broke out some fierce ANTM posing and I knew we were meant to be. Love it!

We decided to meet at the gardens in Knoxville and even had a little snow still staying around for us. Like I said, I absolutely love seniors… they are up for anything, love funky and fun things, and humor me when I say stupid things like “pretend you are such and such” :)

Here is a sneak peak for A’lana’s awesome senior portraits! Although I will say that I’m putting together a little ode to the nerd glasses but they need their own post so we’ll wait on that:) A’lana, thanks for being awesome! Enjoy the pictures!
