Laura and Aaron are getting married in July and I am honored to get the part of photographer at their wedding. Can’t wait! I have known them for a couple years now after photographing a friend of theirs wedding (yay Courtney and Casey!) and they are such a delight. You can’t be around these two and not have a good time! After dodging storms and rescheduling we finally got a couple hours to get there engagement pictures, sweat a little, and have a good time:)

Michelle and Raul are from Chattanooga and getting married in the Chattanooga Aquarium. So cool! They took the drive from Chattanooga to spend some time with me in this gorgeous light and we had a blast.

So, remember this session? You know, that awesome one? My year was seriously enriched by knowing these two. Heather and Bobby, thank you for being you and being not just clients, but friends! And, they had the most nominations too for this picture…they bring the awesome.
drum roll please! Day 2 of our nominations! This photo is from one of my favorite photo sessions. It started out in a gym and ended up in a field…with lots of awesome stops in between. So I’m loving that this photo from that session got nominated!
Breanna is from a city in California and Eddy is from the county. So we combined a little bit of both of those in our engagement session. Naturally. Engagement sessions with a fun tie in to who the couple is or how they met are so much fun! Gives the pictures a little more meaning.

More than anything in my job, I love that I have clients who when I randomly ask them to meet me by an abandoned building and field to take pictures they jump at the change and say “that’s exactly the look I was going for!”. Love.that.
So, another reason I love my job: engagement sessions. I love engagement sessions because its when you can be creative and artistic and really capture the couple as who they are together.
Combine an engagement session in a field with lots of amazing sun to get some artistic engagement pictures. And well, you have one happy photographer.
Ah, I love engagement sessions…for so many reasons. I love getting to hang out with the couple, getting to know them better and having a good time getting some pictures for them. And I love then that on the wedding day its like reuniting with friends rather than showing up to a strangers wedding. Shaina and Trent rocked it at their engagement session! Can’t wait to reunite with them at their beautiful May wedding!
If memory serves me right I think shooting through the window was Shaina’s idea…and it was an awesome one!
