My recent purchase of 17-40 mm L might have been the highlight purchase (besides the 5d!) of my photographic journey. With the caviat of….I LOVE wide angles. Some people aren’t wide angle people…if you are one of those, you may not LOVE this lens as much as some others. After breaking the lens in on a wedding last week (see the post below for some example shots with it!), I giggled with excitement to Brad and exclaimed….”I could shoot only with this lens I love it so much!” To which he rolled his eyes:) Its true….I could do a whole session with just this lens and be perfectly content! The 17mm allows you to get major wide angle, especially with a full frame sensor camera, and using around the 40 mm lets you get some good close ups that are pretty rocking as well.
plus, it’s fun to play around with and allows you to get shots like this:)

how fast is brad driving?? everytime beans and i are in my car she says to me…s-l-o-w…and i figure it’s from you telling brad to slow down!! the pic is wonderful and the trees zooming down the road tells me brad needs to listen to lena
