sneak peek (Knoxville wedding photographer)

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

Brandon and Gigi had a wedding outside of Knoxville in Gatlinburg. Their wedding was a beautiful destination wedding complete with Waylon the dog! As a photographer one of the greatest tips for your Knoxville wedding would be to incorporate things you love…even if it is your dog:)

yes, I’m on a roll with the blogging:) Its been a crazy fun month! They were married in Gatlinburg, outside of Knoxville, last Saturday. It was a picturesque day for them with some great fall leaves! Enjoy your sneak peek!

This was one of the last pictures of the night and I just love it. This is straight out of the camera…loving the lighting!

This was the hotel where the reception was held…amazing architecture!

more couple shots:) I was loving the stone on the exterior of the church!

The ceremony was Catholic and with hints of Filipino tradition in it. I love weddings with tradition in them…makes them so much more meaningful I think!

perhaps my fave of them all. Why do I love the pictures that are so random, not straight, weird angles. They just call to me. I love them!

and without further ado….I present Waylon! A special request to be included in the sneak peek. Waylon, like our chocolate lab Mocha, was rescued from a shelter and it super cute! He is definitely less hyper than Mocha which helped in getting some pictures:)

new cool things for you awesome clients

Monday, November 10th, 2008

I have a few new things I have that I am offering to clients…wanted to post it so everyone would have the lowdown:)

first up….tiles!

These are amazing gifts and a great Christmas present idea! They are only $15 each and 6×6 in size. You can pick what picture you want. This example shows how you can opt for a full 6×6 picture or get some accents like paper and ribbon. You can also add text. You can get straight edge or soft edges…this example has soft edges. In the bottom middle picture you will notice they have some texture to them…very cool! If you have had a session with me in the past and would like to order them you are welcome too, just drop me a line!

tiles

second up…my personal fave!….wall galleries!

These will now be automatic when you have a session. I have a ton of different room settings and when you get your gallery after your session some will be included to show you how your pictures would look in certain galleries. I can customize these for you if you know that you are wanting, for example, pictures for on your mantle or above your bed. It even tells you what sizes the pictures are so you can plan! I am personally loving this tool and think you will too!

Here is an example:

bath time

Monday, November 10th, 2008

I’ve been wanting to get some bath pictures for some time now and finally remembered to grab the camera last night. The night time ritual is around 6:30pm dada gives her a bath. I can only recall me giving her a bath twice in her life now that I think about it. They have a ball and I’m pretty sure she has more fun with dada doing the bath than if I did it. They talk and splash…its so precious! Brad is sometimes a little too liberal with the water and suds but she lets him know about it when it gets in her eyes:) bless her heart…she is learning well in how to deal with her slightly hyper active father…hehe!

this is perhaps my favorite and may be a print for in our bathroom:)

gotta love the finger. she points at everything!

funnies…

Friday, November 7th, 2008

Beans is getting quite the little personality on her. She is so expressive…keeps us laughing a good part of the way. Haven’t had an update on her in a while, so here are some things for documentation purposes:)

-Every night we brush our teeth together, her with her own toothbrush. She moves her head back and forth to brush. And will only do it after you pretend to put toothpaste on her brush. Then she leans forward and makes a smacking sound….that is her pretend spit!!! Hilarious!

-She’s getting to be quite the talker…and will repeat alot of stuff too…but only when she wants to. If you ask her to say something and she doesn’t want to she’ll just look at you and shake her head no. Gotta love a girl who knows what she wants!

-Alot of times we just give her part of what we eat. I figure its good for her to get used to the world of spices and such. She loved the food in Ecuador with all the yummy tastes. Other weird things she loves: black beans, hummus, feta cheese ( I couldn’t believe this one but she LOVES it!). However, she hates anything green. Hates. Hopefully she’ll grow out of that stage:)

-She gives real hugs and kisses now.

-She loves her dolls and barbie. She will give them hugs and kisses too.

-I’m in trouble in the stores and may need a leash (just kiddding…but the nana is thinking about one!)…she thinks its hilarious to run and have you find her. I try to tell her no, be stern, a little pat on the butt….and still, she thinks she’s in heaven with all those nooks and crannies to run in.

-She still has no rhythm but loves to shake the booty:)

**some more things I thought about over the weekend that I wanted to document!**
-She is so ticklish. Her dada will point his finger and make it look like a hook and come tickle her. She starts giggling right when he acts like he coming towards her. The other day when he was done tickling she looked at him and put her little finger out in a hook shape and went after him. Hilarious!

-She loves music! Her nana has taught her “the wheels on the bus” and she puts her little fingers up when it comes to the part “the wipers on the bus” and moves them back and forth like wipers.

sneak peek (Knoxville family photographer)

Friday, November 7th, 2008

I have been on a roll with awesome families for sessions! Yesterday I got the pleasure of photographing Jennifer and Jason’s family. What an awesome set of parents and great kiddo’s…the type of people I instantly feel like I’ve known forever and could be great friends with. Enjoy the sneak peek!

Look at this little one…isn’t she the cutest!
IMG_3532web
we let her do her thing for the most part…makes for happy 2 year olds:) This is her exploring the windows:)
IMG_3533web
perhaps one of my favorite pictures ever! I just love sisters and I love how this picture captures it:)
IMG_3610web
her’s mom and dad…I would just like to point out that I was holding the baby while we took these photo’s…not only will I take pictures for you, I’ll hold your kids too:) j/k…I really just couldn’t wait to get my hands on her which is why I gladly accepting the holding responsibility.

so the last one was straight out of the camera…but I wanted to play so this one has a vintage wash on it.
