We are home from a long, busy weekend! I haven’t one picture to share:( Half way to Nashvegas I asked Brad if he remembered to grab my camera (he was in charge of packing the car…) and he realized he forgot to grab it. Oh well…lots of fun was had, we’ll just have to document in words.
6pm: Friday: when we got in we went to the Rainforest Cafe with Grammy and Ma. Beans loved it with all the animals and water and fishtanks. She had a blast! Brad even got a flaming volcano cake and lots of singing since it was his birthday. We hung out with Grammy and Ma that night. Beans was so wound up she didn’t go to bed until late!
2am (or somewhere around there!): Saturday: Beans throws up everywhere twice. projectile, not pretty. All over me, the floor, the fan. Brad, the birthday boy, rolls over and says “you don’t need me to do anything do you?”. nice.
9am-1pm: Saturday: We visited lots of family. Beans met her great grandfather and his family for a second time. They gave her a stuffed dog so it was instant love. Pops said he didn’t shave that day just for her and took her hand and rubbed it on his chin. She was enthralled and didn’t know what to think! He would also get her with the “crawly bug” (his two fingers) and she thought it was hilarious…anything for a game!
2pm: Saturday: asleep in the car while the parents eat some McD’s. oh yeah!
Saturday night: We spent the night with our dearest friends, the Lee’s, and had so much fun!! We had mexicana, played ball outside, shared some great laughs. It was so great to see them. Ethan is doing so well and I am so happy for them!! Beans and Kaleb had a little thing going on…Brad has already given his blessing:)
9pm: Saturday: We are Penn State!!! woot woot!!
9am: Sunday. After the best omelet ever at IHOP, we’re on the road to Knoxville! A great time but glad to be heading home!
Busy week….have a happy Monday!!
I thought since I wont get a chance to do a Five on Friday tomorrow that I would do a 3 on Thursday with some personal updates/ramblings…
1. Beans is sick…poor thing! She caught a little stomach bug and was in the throwing up stage yesterday and in the fever stage today. Combined with a new tooth coming in as well! She is so good though and just sits on your lap with her head laid on you holding her bottle of juice. Bless her heart! Hoping she is better for the trip tomorrow so say a little prayer!
2. Tomorrow we are going to Nashvegas for the weekend! We haven’t been back for an extended stay since we moved here and it’s Brad’s birthday this weekend so we thought we would spend it with family and friends there! Birthday dinner at Rainforest Cafe….isn’t Beans going to love it! She LOVES animals and I’m excited to see her reaction.
3. Can you believe it’s almost the holidays (or in the stores, it is already!). I always have high hopes to work on my gifts throughout the year to alleviate the holiday spending but never works out the way I plan:) However, this is the second year we are joining the thought of Advent Conspiracy to get away for too much consumerism…you can’t help some but I hate going overboard.
Here are some ideas for some Advent Conspiracy:
Give the gift of time:
-Grab tickets to a movie and play for you and friend and go see it.
-Host a Monday Night football party and make homemade pizza’s.
-Bundle up and go walk downtown with friends to see the Christmas lights, go ice skating, and get Hot Cocoa.
-A new bat and a trip to the batting cages.
-A day hike together, you bring lunch
Give the gift of helping:
-Get an oil change for a friend’s car.
-Do yard work for an elderly person.
-Help with a house project: painting, building, cleaning
-Babysit for a couple so they can have a night out.
Give the gift of family and remembrance:
-Scrapbook with your kids for family members of those times you’ve spent with them.
-A home “published” story, written and illustrated by the kids…the time you spend with your kids creating this will be priceless!
-A DVD of your life these days for family members far away.
“This isn’t about creating a bunch of new rules to be legalistic about Christmas…Just step out of the consumerism, be thoughtful, and enjoy the celebration!”
The sneak peek for Cutie Tooties! A note for the moms: I choose pics for the most part that featured the diapers (since that is what we were there for:) ). Today we had the big Cutie Tooties shoot…and what cutie tooties we had! All the kids were so adorable and did so well! We even stayed on/ahead of schedule:) I have lots of pics to share in the upcoming days but wanted to give Sunny a promised pre-sneak peek:)

whew…3rd post today…somebody stop me!
so, today at the Apple Orchard we had a mini photo session and I took some pictures of my parents (and mom returned the favor a took a couple of us!). Here are a few of my faves from their pics….hope you enjoy mom and dad!

well, the calm before the storm…I’m chilling on the couch while Beans takes a much needed nap! We went yard saling this morning and I think it wore her out. I did find some amazing shoes and frames…Brad even got a pair of Merrill shoes that are pretty great!
We are making our way to the apple orchard later today for yummy stuff and some family pictures as well as try to find a dresser for the Beans (not at the apple orchard though…hehe!)
Then tomorrow start the busy fall season of pictures! We’re kicking it off in style with a photo shoot for the wonderful Cutie Tooties . So stayed tuned for some fun sneak peeks!
