I’ll admit it…I’ve been dating…2 ways no less:)
1st date story:
I had the distinct privilege of going to EarthFare this weekend. My first trip and I am in love. I do have to say that I love my Co-op but it is a treat to make a trip across town to go and visit EarthFare. I wanted to try everything there! So, anyways, back to dating:) I bought some dates there in my quest of eating raw. I am in love with my dates! I made some awesome raw truffles the other night…yum! Here they are (the dates) in all their glory
2nd date story (a little more deep than the 1st:) )
So, we have been on a quest to find a home church. A few weeks ago, after getting in the car from our 5th try at a church, we were comparing our likes/dislikes and I it hit me- we are dating churches (I know…I told you I have been watching Sex and the City way too much!…but hear me out!) You know how with dating, you’re probably never going to find the perfect person but you want to find someone that you are compatible with, can be yourself with, and who has qualities that you like enough to put up with the things that you don’t (Sounds terrible but really, you have to love something so you are more apt to put up with the things that irk you sometimes) That is exactly how it is with picking out a church (or at least with us)…you walk in, get the first impression, see how comfortable you are, see what they have to offer, see if its a good fit, etc… So, we have been struggling with this, mainly to find a place that we fit with (feels like family…comfortable…this is the most important I think), has a good time of meeting and good nursery (I wish it didn’t, but this does have to take priority for us because Beans is an active/social child and needs something to do and someone to work with her…i’m already dreading kindergarten). And today, I think we found one!! So maybe my church dating scene is over…I ready for a monogamous relationship:)
