Friday, August 29th, 2008So, some randomness for your Friday….
-woot, woot! A long weekend ahead. I have nothing planned and I am so happy about it! Although I’m sure we’ll be busy, but its fun to be an unplanned busy:) A couple things I need to do: food shop! clean house, organize, finish up the website
-The Picky Chick Consignment is going on..Saturday its half off (may need to add that to my list of to dos!)
-Boomsday on Sunday! Last year we went during the day to just walk around…such a fun time! Beans was only a couple weeks old at that time, content in her Bjorn. I have a feeling this year will be much different:)
-Contest ends today! I’ll draw for the winner this weekend so stay tuned! **not too late to comment and get in on the action!**
-Ecuador bound in October!! We have our tickets and all. Beans’ first mission trip! I am so excited! I was worrying about this and that with her in Ecuador, but then I thought…psshh, if Brad and Angelina can do it, by golly, I can too!! I think I’m going to get a travel crib for her though….my one luxury so I don’t have to worry about what kind of beds theyll have, etc. Funny story, I emailed them about if I needed to bring a carseat. The reply, no, if you want one for the plane but when youre here you won’t need it! Isn’t it crazy how different life is other places! That is what I love about the world though…such a variety!

Sunday, August 24th, 2008So, I have been at the Stomp all weekend…the state conference for the roller derby. Pretty exciting let me tell you! Definitely exceeded my expectations! Such a fun crowd and great action! My booth was fun and turned out really well (no pics to share, sorry…completely forgot my small camera).

On a random note, I have become addicted to the TBS reruns of Sex and the City…totally random addiction blamed on a late night when that was the only thing on and now I’m tivo’ing them:) I only watched about 1 season when they were on so most of it is new to me. You know how Carrie writes down her ponderings and all that in show…I keep finding myself doing that in my head as I think about things…maybe I’m watching the show too much:)
oh, and I almost forgot about the title! With that new Sex in the City brain of mine…I was at the Roller Derby thinking about what my roller derby name would be if I were a roller girl. They tend to be play on words and usually are pretty entertaining and on the dark side. I decided I would be Skulley (s. kelley is my name…and some people shorten it to skelley since that is how I write is sometimes….get it?) So, what could/would yours be!?

Friday, August 22nd, 2008Labor Day is almost upon us! Can you believe it, how time flies! So, you know what Labor Day means….County Fair time!!! Woohoo! Although I haven’t been to the Knoxville Fair yet, I do have some experience in some quaint country fairs….aka: White County Fair (no offense to the White Countians among us…but you know the Fair there is the true epitome of a county fair). I’m talking tractor pulls, mule racing, at least one big brawl in the stands during the week, homemade ice cream, the social shindig of the year…oh yeah, the county fair! So, here it is, the top five reasons we love the fair…
1. It’s a chance to run into people you rarely see and hope that they have gained more weight than you have (kidding…I kid! but you know you think that:) )
2. You get to ride the Himalaya!!
3. Where else can you get fried everything…fried oreos and twinkies, what will they think of next
4. You can walk through the 4-H booths and see all the homemade stuff (yes, this is my country side coming out. Fact #97 about me…I have placed first in the 4-H building for my homemade brownies…oh yeah, bet you didn’t see that one coming! hehe!)
5. What else better is there to do on a wonderful summer night in Tennessee than enjoy the local festivities!

Wednesday, August 20th, 2008Not sure if you noticed but I have the website (link to the right) under construction…I am changing a few things around, adding some things…all that good stuff. I’ll let you know when the new one is up and running:)
I have also decided to go with a new printer for pictures…I tossed the idea around about the change and decided they provide exceptional quality, amazing color, etc so I am changing over…they are a little pricier so I am in the middle of looking at new packages to give the best deal to my customers…because you deserve it!
That is all the changes going on now, just wanted to give you a heads up…and to leave you with a picture…
this is Beans showing off her new sunglasses and funny face. She started doing this random thing with her lips…don’t know where she got it but we have deemed it the pigface. So now, when you say “where’s your pigface?” this is what you get. Hilarious! She things she is celebrity in her glasses let me tell you!

Coming to see me at the Stomp!! Hard Knox Roller Girls are hosting the state wide 2 day event at the Convention Center this weekend. I am a vendor there and will have an awesome booth with amazing giveaways and discounts! Stop on by this weekend!
