Yesterday was Beans’ first fourth of july. Although she didn’t make it to stay up and watch any fireworks…she did have a great day! She did however get to hear fireworks all night long since our neighbors think its cool to blast off huge ones until 1am…but that is another story! Here it the fun day in pictures:)

First we went to Lowe’s to get a new light for the porch:) She is wearing her little sailor outfit…I thought it was fitting for the fourth. She has another really cute dress from her grammy but we are saving that for Sunday..I’ll take some pictures of that too:)

We were on a quest for an outdoor rug so we made our way to Target to see if their selection was better/cheaper than Lowe’s…it wasn’t:(….but Beans had a great time being queen of the world
Then we made our way to the Harris’…with our plans to go to the Splashpad interrupted by the Powell Parade we decided to play in their pool…Beans was a little skeptical of the pool at first for some reason so she opted to eat her first popice ever…she LOVED it!!

After that the momma got in the bigger pool and Beans was good with getting in the little one…shortly after this she took a spill backwards and got soaked. She was very cool with it and bobbed around for some time in the big pool with the momma’s….Thanks guys for a great time at the pool:)
We decided to eat a picnic at the park and play a little. I scoped out the gazebo at the park for beans’ birthday too! After dinner we played a little.
Then we had daddy push us on the swing! (On a side note..is this the right way to put them in those kiddie swings or does she face the other way. We tried it both and went w/ this way since there was no traffic in the background of the shot…but I still don’t know if there is a right way…the other side was just a chain..hmmm!)

All in all a fun fourth!

So, its been awhile since I’ve posted a “whats going on in my life” post…so here are some quick updates while I have a moment…

Life has been a little crazy lately…my to do list is a mile long but I’m slowly getting through it (while remembering more that I need to add to it!)

Beans is quickly learning to crawl up and down the stairs….she took quite the fall the other day down a step but dada has her in his intensive training school on how to get down a step properly so hopefully she’ll be doing better:)

Grammy is in town and hangin’ w/ Beans this week…she taught her her new trick. You say “where’s your ear” and she points to her ear…only her right ear, she hasn’t discovered the left one yet:)

Tis the season for birthdays and the like. We celebrated dad’s this week, Brad and I’s 3rd anniversary is next week as is moms b’day and the beans first birthday planning is in full effect as of today…I figured I better jump on it because its right around the corner! It is going to be a great b’day party! This weekend I will hopefully get the invites designed:)

Have a long weekend with no plans…love it! My only requirement is that we have some sort of experience with water over the weekend so I think we have opted to take Beans to a splashpad…fun!
