sneak peek

Saturday, June 28th, 2008

We celebrated Laura and Brandon’s upcoming wedding by taking some photographs in Knoxville. As a photographer, I love to capture such an exciting time in a couple’s relationship. What a great way to get ready for your wedding and celebrate your engagement than with photographs. So, here is one that I have to post for Laura…definitely a fave of mine as I glanced through them tonight…that I had to post. More sneak peek to come in the next few days:) The session got a little cut short because of the rain in Knoxville but we made it all work and got some awesome photographs:)

shiner

Saturday, June 28th, 2008

Beans gave her first shiner, by accident:) She and the daddy were playing and she grabbed the dining room chair and it went to tip. So, the brave daddy dove in to stop it from hitting her and it slammed him in the eye. So, yes, he now has a black eye from a 10 month old (I know Amber is dying already to call him and mock…feel free!). At first he was a little mad and sulky because it hurt. However, as the day goes on (after a question from the Kroger clerk as to whether he got in a fight or not!) he is getting quite proud of it. It’s getting darker as the day goes on…but here is a pic now of it… He’s painting the porch ceiling when I took this picture so you can see the new color (which I love!!!!!) on the top left of the picture. I’ll post pics of the outside when its done:)

5 on Friday!

Friday, June 27th, 2008

woot woot! It’s that time again, where does the week go:) I thought we’d go with the random stuff today….helps me not think quite as much:)

1. Recommendation for best peaceful place online: Sacred Space Great daily thoughts and prayers that just help in this crazy world…. todays was awesome…so I thought I would share:

“Children are deprived not because we do not give them things, but because we do not sufficiently value what they give us. We need to be alert to welcome what children have to offer. You remember how Kahlil Gibran wrote about children,

You may give them your love but not your thoughts, for they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, for their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you. For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday. You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.

Our children are flying forward into areas we have not charted ourselves. What is asked of us is in Kahlil’s last phrase, ‘Even as the Archer loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow that is stable.’ We are expected to be calm, reliable, showing a steady love in our own lives, and to offer our children what Jesus offered: time, love, stability, and a readiness to bless.”

2. July 4th is on its way!! Knoxville has a great day at Worlds Fair Park called Festival on the 4th. Free concerts and other fun stuff all day and then fireworks at 9:30pm

3. The end of July is a bit crazy for me….have one opening the first part of the month if anyone wants to get it while its hot:)

4. I have been working out some lately and my muscles are sore! I am not one to like exercise and have to make myself do it but I guess its worth it….

5. I am still eating around 90% raw (I am also eating fish and chicken). Down about 8 lbs now….and better yet, feeling very healthy…it’s amazing to me how food truly does impact so much in your life. Even my skin is looking better! Here’s a picture of dinner the other night…zucchini alfredo

My name is Beans and at 10 months I….

refer-o-rama!

Thursday, June 26th, 2008

I know…sorry for the lame title! I couldn’t think of anything else:) However, it is something cool, I promise! So, while I have an ad campaign in the works, my #1 way that I prefer to advertise is through my past clients (customers/friends/however you like to look at it!)….why, because its more personal. So, I wanted to give something to those that do refer me and those who are referred…just to say thanks! Because without you guys, I couldn’t do what I love to do so much….take pictures!

Here’s how it works. With your orders you will get some referral cards that you can write your name on and hand out. So when the new person calls up and says they have your card, you get $10 credit and so do they! If you don’t have an order pending, just let me know (email me with your address) and I can send you out a referral packet.

Here is a look at the referral card:
