5 on Friday

Friday, May 16th, 2008

I am sitting in Panera, my office away from home. I love this place…I could do a 5 on Friday just about the reasons I love Panera…is that sad? Ok…on to more interesting things (we hope…since I am completely winging this 5 on Friday!)

So, summer is around the corner…so lets do a Summer Fun 5:)

Things I can’t wait to do this summer:

-Take Beans to play in the fountains at Market Square
-Go to bed looking at the stars through our tent window (camping next weekend in KY when we go on our first rock climbing extravaganza…Brad will be rock climbing, I will be taking funny pics:)…should be fun!)
-Roadtrips (things that are a must for a good roadtrip…Doritos cool ranch, bathroom breaks at the Flying J, and some Eek a Mouse (this great old reggae band that has a great road trip song!) )
-Baseball games
-Yard Sales…having them I should say:) I probably need therapy…I have way too many yardsales for one person:)

What is your 5 things you can’t wait to do this summer…let me know if you do a post and I will link you…or you can just leave a comment:)

you’ll have to tilt your head on this one a little…sorry! In my excitement I forgot it videos only horizontally:) So, on her 9th month unbirthday, the beans debuted her new talent (that her mother is a self proclaimed master in and has been doing for beans in hopes she would learn too:) )….so here she is, doing the fishlips and even on command now. She thinks she is something:) enjoy!

“Before I was a Mom -
I slept as late as I wanted and never worried about how late I got into bed. I brushed my hair and my teeth everyday.

Before I was a Mom -
I cleaned my house each day. I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn’t worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom -
I had never been puked on – Pooped on – Spit on – Chewed on, or Peed on. I had complete control of my mind and My thoughts. I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom -
I never held down a screaming child so that doctors could do tests…or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom -
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn’t want to put it down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn’t stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life
so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom -
I didn’t know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. I didn’t know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn’t know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn’t know that something so small could make me feel so important.

Before I was a Mom -
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay. I had never known The warmth, The joy, The love, The heartache, The wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom. I didn’t know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a Mom.”

I know, I’m a dork for the title of this post..just wanted to write it according to how I was jokingly saying it in my head:) So, the outtakes of a shoot can be just as fun and just as worthy to display as well…to prove that, here are some great ones!! I love these…hope you enjoy:) If you want something like this in a storyboard fashion w/ your pics, let me know…the possibilities are endless! Sorry if they are a little small to see on here…click to make a little bigger.

I told the girls to skip towards me and here is what we got…isn’t it so great, captures the pure joy of being a kid I think!

Love, what more can you say…it’s being comfortable and silly and fun :)
